On the 6th of July, 2000, British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s son was arrested for drinking when he was found drunk and incapable near Leicester Square, London.

When asked about it, Tony Blair remarked:

“Being a prime minister can be a tough job and being a parent is probably tougher!”

It is apparent from the above statement that PM Tony Blair took the blame upon himself for not being a good father and not paying enough attention to his son’s upbringing.

Now, if we look at Hazrat Ali (A.S.), he was raised by none other than the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W.) himself. If he fell into the habit of drinking, fingers are to be pointed at the Prophet (nauzobillah) for not being a good parent. (more…)
