US Ambassador Patterson MUST be EXPELLED

‘You cannot tolerate vipers in your bosom without getting bitten,’ Ambassador Patterson said. ‘Our concern is whether Pakistan really controls its territory. There are people who do not threaten Pakistan but who are extremely important to us.’’
After controlled media leaks about US concerns of a Taliban ‘safe-haven’ in Quetta, the US Ambassador in Pakistan has come out and spoken to the media about it. Instead of a denial of reports that the US might attack the provincial capital of Baluchistan with drones, she says the US will have to do what it has to do to take out terrorists. (more…)
Parachinar weeps again

As the Pakistan military strengthens its position in Swat and Waziristan, the Kurram agency is in the spotlight once again. Fighting has erupted and reportedly, the Taliban fleeing from Waziristan and Swat are wrecking havoc in Parachinar. They are fuelling sectarian tensions and finding refuge as locals from different sectarian groups, particularly the Shi’ites, are targeted.
Amidst fierce clashes that left 33 dead and over 65 injured in a single day, the residents of Parachinar have renewed their call for a military operation. A call they have been issuing for almost 28 months now. The government, the previous and the present, seem to pay no heed to this despearate appeal. (more…)
Shab-e-Aashoor: Israel bombs School

It was Shab-e-Aashoor in the Arab world – a time when Muslims throughout the Arab world mourned the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S) and his family – when terrorist (Israeli) war planes and shelling bombed two schools.
Reports say around 42 Palestinian children embraced martyrdom in their early childhood.
They say that the Hamas is using Human shields! Where in the world is it allowed to kill innocent civilians even if human shields are being used?
What was the fault of those innocent children who were taking refuge in the UN Schools? How long will the world remain silent? How long will we witness brutal Israeli terrorism without a single voice raised to stop Israeli terrorism?
It seems as if the Muslim world is being given a final push to the wall. Be it Palestine, or Pakistan. We have to understand the deadly “USA-Israel-India” nexus that is wrecking havoc in the world!
Zardari on his way out!

The following column was published in many leading newspapers of the world. Written by Laura King, it highlights the problems and challenges the President of Pakistan faces. What I make of it? That Mr. Zardari is on his way out! This government has pushed the people of Pakistan to the wall and a backlash is evident.

Zardari’s crisis leadership questioned

Islamabad: A year ago, Asif Ali Zardari was a political footnote. He was best known as the corruption-tainted, polo-loving husband of Benazir Bhutto, the charismatic former Pakistani prime minister who appeared poised to make a dramatic return to power.
Now Zardari, who took over leadership of Bhutto’s party after she was assassinated in December 27 and became president three months ago, finds himself head of state at a time of extraordinary turmoil, even by Pakistani standards.
Stung by Indian accusations that Pakistani militants played a leading role in last month’s terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, the country has responded with an outpouring of nationalistic sentiment.
For the moment, that sense of affront and grievance is uniting Pakistanis of all political persuasions, but many analysts believe it could eventually backfire on Zardari.
A tough stance
To please a domestic audience, the 53-year-old president has taken a tough stance toward India, refusing to hand over suspects sought by New Delhi and expressing skepticism that the attacks emanated from Pakistani soil, despite mounting evidence from Indian investigators and Western intelligence.

8Stunned, shocked and silent I was when a handful of terrorists handicapped a metropolis like ‘Mumbai’. How indiscriminate they were in the way they showered innocent people with bullets, killing around 200 people.
But here’s when I started to smell something fishy. Did you see how much in control over the entire situation they were? Almost as if they had the nod of the security agencies to go and put up a thrilling action drama.
And to top it all, the haste with which the fingers started pointing towards Pakistan was ridiculously absurd and unacceptable to anyone in a stable state of mind.
How do you expect me to believe that the ‘terrorists’ managed to infiltrate the Indian waters when a major naval exercise was actually in progress? (more…)
