Amin Fahim & Ishaq Dar meet Musharraf in Dubai
Jul 13th

Well, it looks like things are not too bad after all. Or is it just that Amin Fahim and Ishaq Dar have a different personal point-of-view about him? Whatever the case, the recent meeting at a wedding in Dubai is definitely something both the PPP and the PML-N would not want to boast about. Here is what the Gulf News reports:
…Some interesting encounters were witnessed. A meeting between Musharraf and PPP stalwart Makhdoom Ameen Fahim raised some eyebrows as Fahim dashed to greet Musharraf just before he was leaving. They shook hands and exchanged a few words with broad smiles on their faces…
and
…Just a minute earlier, as Musharraf was leaving the reception hall, senior PML(N) leader Ishaq Dar, a close aid of Nawaz Sharif, also shook hands with Musharraf…
What happened Mr. Dar? Don’t you want him hanged for ‘treason’, like you call it?

No to the President, No to the Media
Oct 27th
If there was to be a sequel to the movie Mr. Bean’s Holiday, it would be called President Goes to the USA. While Mr. President had a rendezvous half way across the globe with ex girl friends and beauty pageant winners, those back home wished he hadn’t left Islamabad in the first place. The media got its much alleged freedom, but how has that helped us? If the media is so responsible and its role is so vital, why have things gone as far as they have? WHERE IS THE MEDIA? Where are the anchors and the journalists who wanted to jump at every chance? They have the resources to interview sought after terrorists, but lack the guts to confront those in the government. Mr. President, if you want to be the savior you claim you are, stop playing in the hands of our enemies, bring about change, or it will force itself on you.

Perverted President of Pakistan
Sep 28th
I really did not wish to write another word on the new President of Pakistan, but I feel compelled to share this cartoon that appeared in the international media.
Flirting with Sarah Palin, candidate for the office of Vice President in the USA. Is this in the name of the Shaheed Mohtarma too? Out of love for her, perhaps? May Allah have mercy on the Pakistani nation!
The Presidency, Zardari and the Constitution
Aug 31st
While the country prepares itself for Presidential elections on the 6th of September, I wonder how the PPP co-chairman (Asif A. Zardari) has managed to qualify. It has never been about democracy at all, it has been about revenge since the day they took over the government in February, democracy is just a weapon in this game.
This column looks at the eligibility of PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari strictly in the light of the constitution of Pakistan, Articles 41, 62 and 63. More >
Where there is a Will – there is a Way! Zardari’s Success Story
Aug 29th
A young Pakistani commentator tells the tale of Asif Ali Zardari and his success in making it to the top. He is known as the most powerful man in Pakistan today. She describes him as a man who saw his wife every day, in all her glory and he patiently stood behind her chair, overlooked as a part of the background.
Mr. Zardari today has a lot to be proud of, he can afford to grin at the camera when the people in the country have no gas, electricity or food.
Have we been damned? The National Reconcilliation Ordinance
Aug 10th
For the attention of the general public, I would like to quote here the exact text of the National Reconciliation Ordinance which was officially promulgated by the President of Pakistan on the 5th of October, 2007.
Here is the NRO which has allowed looters, thieves and plunderers to party on the streets of Islamabad:
