Perverted President of Pakistan
10I really did not wish to write another word on the new President of Pakistan, but I feel compelled to share this cartoon that appeared in the international media.
Flirting with Sarah Palin, candidate for the office of Vice President in the USA. Is this in the name of the Shaheed Mohtarma too? Out of love for her, perhaps? May Allah have mercy on the Pakistani nation!
Deadly “Corporate” Media Sovereignty

Freedom of the press and freedom of the media is one of the fundamentals of democracy, but if handed over to a nation not used to it, it may turn ugly. Nothing is hidden from the camera today. Be it “sources” on the inside or even fabricated stories. Being a corporate entity, money is what matters the most. Sometimes, our media seems to be speaking on someone else’s behalf. They stand sovereign, above any laws.

A sigh of relief for the Pakistani nation at last! The Pakistan air force decided to send in its jets to fly over North Waziristan to keep a check on Pakistan’s air space violations by the United States, which is being seen as a very strong signal internationally.
A US spy plane had entered Pakistani air space but disappeared soon after the emergence of PAF fighter jets.
Locals of FATA have expressed a sigh of relief and satisfaction over the PAF flights.
The United States had publicly announced in recent days that it will carry out attacks in Pakistani territory and will only inform the Pakistani government. The United States categorically said that it will not ask for Pakistan’s permission, which invited a strong statement from the Chief of Pakistani armed forces, General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani. (more…)
Wake up, we are already at War!
5The number of missile attacks by pilot less Predator drones in Pakistan has more than tripled in the past year. Pakistani officials reported 11 such strikes this year, compared to three strikes in 2007. The strikes continue, and all we get is a grin from the President, or a statement such as “This is a war which is against Pakistan. And we’ll fight for our own past. And that is because I have lost my own leader, Benazir Bhutto, because of the militants” from the Prime Minister. Wake up, we are already at War!

The Presidency, Zardari and the Constitution
10While the country prepares itself for Presidential elections on the 6th of September, I wonder how the PPP co-chairman (Asif A. Zardari) has managed to qualify. It has never been about democracy at all, it has been about revenge since the day they took over the government in February, democracy is just a weapon in this game.
This column looks at the eligibility of PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari strictly in the light of the constitution of Pakistan, Articles 41, 62 and 63. (more…)
