Attack on Pakistan Naval Base. Who Benefits?

6

While the nation stood stunned watching the horrible events last night, the unbelievable rambo-style attack on the Pakistan Navy, my mind constantly worked over-time to try and put the dots together and find why the navy was being attacked.

The target, as we all now know, were the state-of-the-art Navy P-3C Orion aircraft which is used for surveillance and reconnaissance purposes. The aircraft is one of the best equipment the Pakistani armed forces possessed when it comes to modern electronic warfare. One parked at the naval base was completely destroyed while the other stands badly damaged.

I have the following questions to ask everyone and points to raise which will lead you to my conclusion:

  1. Why were the suicide attacks on Navy buses earlier in April targeted at personnel working on the P-3C Orion aircraft?
  2. Why was the aircraft the first thing terrorists destroyed after they got inside, wherever they came in from?
  3. How does the Navy effect the TTP and its operations? Are they planning to launch their own pirate ships and were afraid of the Navy’s superior capabilities?
  4. Why were the attacks timed to make sure foreign engineers were trapped inside, including Chinese?
  5. Why does this attack come at a time when China has bolstered defense ties with Pakistan and announced it will help Pakistan operate port Gwadar?
  6. India does not possess any equivalent surveillance, anti-submarine and monitoring aircrafts. This is a strategic deficiency for them and has been a matter of serious concern for them.
  7. Why does it happen at a time when the world is questioning Pakistan’s capability of protecting its Nuclear arsenal?
  8. Is the TTP capable of engaging our Special Services Group commandos, one of the best in the world, for more than 12 hours? If not, they were surely from somewhere else!
  9. Foreign media was quick to present the TTP (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan) to have accepted responsibility, does it not surprise you that the TTP approached a UK-based news agency to tell them they did it?

These are just a few of the many questions that arise. Had it been done in India, they would have conveniently blamed Pakistan by now. We know India funds the TTP, even if we are to believe the TTP did it. We have even embarrassed the Indian side by presenting solid evidence of their involvement in Pakistan (reference: Sharm-el-Sheikh meeting between Pakistani PM and Manmohan Singh).

The reaction from our side, like always, is a shocker for every patriotic Pakistani. Who do we trust? Who do we rely on to stand up for our dignity and honor?

To sum up my views of the whole operation in as concise words as possible: I believe Pakistan and the United States are about to lock their heads for a declared war with each other.

This is the only logical explanation of what is happening in Pakistan. We will be certain everything is already sold out if Pakistan does not stand up for its honor and dignity now. Whatever you say, the nation’s military forces have brought themselves a bad name by not preempting such scenarios. That worsening reputation is further fueled by our highly irresponsible media and journalists.

At the end, my heartfelt congratulations to those who embraced martyrdom during the operation. May Allah bless you for staying alert at the fore-front, for protecting us, for being our source of inspiration. We hope and pray your courage and spirit is reflected in military and government leadership as well.

Fanatic Indians blame CW games bridge collapse on ISI

7

Honestly, people can go to absolutely any extent when it comes to blaming things on Pakistan these days. Even if a rat is killed somewhere in your lane, conveniently

put it on Pakistan. We’re the ‘in-thing’ these days! On a serious note, experts around the globe have upped their ‘war-talk’ between India and Pakistan and some have even hinted that a possible terror attack on the commonwealth games may well be used as an excuse to launch an armed offensive into Pakistan.

If there are such serious threats of possible terrorism, I urge the authorities to call these games OFF instead of trying to make it a flash point between Pakistan and India.

Having said all that, let us appreciate the humor in the text below :)

DELHI – In a sensational twist to the ongoing and unrelenting embarassment that is the Delhi Commonwealth Games (CWG), Indian External Affairs minister SM Krishna has alleged that Pakistani ’state-actors’ and ‘hired guns’ are behind the latest calamity to hit the games – the collapse of an under-construction foot overbridge near Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here on Tuesday afternoon.

His comments were backed up by the Secretary General of the four member CWG committee Dr. Lalit K. Bhannot, who is responsible for the technical aspects of conducting the Games and coordinating activities of the sub-committees.

‘We have been informed in recent days by the local government’s security apparatus as well as the IB (Intelligence Bureau) that there is a growing interest from Pakistani Jihadis in getting these games cancelled. We also know the ISI is assisting them just how they masterminded the 2008 Mumbai attacks ‘, said Bhannot.

Who Needs enemies with KSA around?

Khaademain Haramein Shareefain! I am disgusted at the hypocrisy of this Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom has recently conducted tests to shut down all its air-defenses for Israeli bombers to fly over its territory to bomb Iran. Below is the report published in the daily Gulf News of the UAE:

Saudis tests clearing skies for Israel to bomb Iran: report

Saudi Arabia has conducted tests to stand down its air defences to allow Israeli jets to use its airspace in a bombing raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities, The Times newspaper reported on Saturday.

“The Saudis have given their permission for the Israelis to pass over and they will look the other way,” a US defence source in the area told the paper.

“They have already done tests to make sure their own jets aren’t scrambled and no one gets shot down. This has all been done with the agreement of the (US) State Department.”

Israel, which regards Iran as its principal threat, has refused to rule out using military action to prevent Tehran developing nuclear weapons. Iran says its nuclear programme is aimed solely at power generation.

The Times said Riyadh, which views Iran as a regional threat, had agreed to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of its airspace in the north of the country to shorten the distance in the event of any bombing raid on Iran.

A source in Saudi Arabia said the arrangement was common knowledge within defence circles in the kingdom.

“We all know this. We will let them [the Israelis] through and see nothing,” the source told The Times.

Is there anything else left to say except for the fact that we really don’t need enemies with the likes of KSA, Egypt and Jordan around!

Another Flotilla?

3

Following what I would call the ‘Success’ of the Freedom Flotilla, Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has called for another aid convoy to complete what the Freedom Flotilla had sought out to do – break the maritime siege of Gaza. I was fortunate to catch a live web-stream of the speech over the internet last night.

Israel faced a public relations disaster worldwide after it decided to storm the flotilla with around 100 commando’s firing at unarmed humanitarian activists with live ammunition.

The Hezbollah chief was addressing a huge gathering of thousands and thousands of Lebanese people at an event held in Beirut to remember those who lost their lives on the Freedom Flotilla.

Sayyed Nasrallah praised Turkey’s leadership for the stand they have taken since the attack on the Freedom Flotilla describing the deteriorating ties between Turkey and Israel an “earthquake” for Israel.

Interestingly, following this call by the chief of the Hezbollah last night, there are reports coming in that the Turkish Prime Minister, Rejeb Tayyib Erdogan, has decided to lead another flotilla escorted by the Turkish Navy for its security. If confirmed, this will be a diplomatic nightmare for both Tel Aviv and Washington.

If Israel acts reasonably (which it is not used to), the siege of Gaza shall break – leading to another humiliating public defeat of Israel’s unjust stand after its defeat in 2006 in which it was unable to release its captured soldiers despite a bloody conflict between Lebanon and Israel.

If it acts unreasonably, we not only have a certain possibility of an armed conflict between Israel and Turkey, the world would also be at risk of another (may God Forbid) World War.

Two soldiers martyred as India violates cease-fire

0

India has been resorting to unprovoked firing across the Indo-Pak border and the Line of Control for over a week now. In the latest incident, two Pakistani soldiers have embraced martyrdom.

Earlier, the Indian forces violated a cease-fire agreement near Sialkot and then across the LoC.

It is a clear indication of mounting pressure on Pakistan from both sides. One side is at war due to Indian-American sponsored terrorism and the other side faces an enemy hell bent upon resorting to violence to prove its hegemony in the region. (more…)
