Islam & Pakistan! Technology & Me!
I don’t like this. Sindh, Punjab – Where’s Pakistan?

No I’m no pessimist. They met again yesterday. Nawaz Sharif the ‘Lion of Punjab‘ and Asif Zardari, ‘Jiyala-e-Sindh‘ at Nawaz Sharif’s residence in Raiwind. The meeting, as reported by all media channels and newspapers, lasted for over 4 hours. Zardari congratulated Nawaz Sharif on his acquittal from the Musharraf plane-hijacking case and appeared to be in a reconcilliatory mood.
This change in Zardari’s attitude is natural and was very much expected. He does not want to be blamed alone for the mess he has driven the country into. He wants the PML-N on-board and to be part of the government. With over 90 ministers and ministries already, how will the PML-N be offered portfolios (if any at all), and will Nawaz Sharif accept the offer?
I am not concerned about what they spoke about and what their joint declaration says. Tell me why Zardari went there dressed in traditional Sindhi clothes to play his Sindh card again like he did after Benazir Bhutto’s assassination. Was he there to threaten Nawaz Sharif that “If you plan to take me on – I have the power to try and (God Forbid) break Pakistan.”
Zardari is almost always dressed in Western clothes, he has even refused to wear the traditional and formal Pakistani ‘Sherwani’ when he takes oaths, preferring a suit and tie instead. Why was he wearing a Sindhi ‘topi‘ (cap) and black shalwar kameez again?
From how it appears to me, this is a threatening gesture from Zardari. I certainly don’t like this. He plays Sindh, Nawaz Sharif plays Punjab – Where is Pakistan?
As for the meeting(s), well, you can smile again as we used to in the past. Here’s a look at what used to happen after elections of February the 18th:
- I wrote last year after a series of never ending meetings between NS and AZ. When will these meetings bear fruit?
- Sana Saleem talks about the ‘Notorious Divorce
- Anas Imtiaz welcomed us back to the politics of the 90′s: Welcome back to the 90′s and to Demon-cracy!
- And SAWJ showed us the perfect picture of their coalition, must watch!

Ammar you are trying to negate facts. It was Mr. Zardari who appointed Premier Gilani who is enjoying all powers of prime minister as per constitution; dictator and military general Musharraf was thrown out by Zardari, all decisions in National Assembly are being taken by consensus and as per constitution. PPP led Govt takes all political parties on board for political and strategic decisions. Is he not working on reconciliation policy from day one?? Why r u so wary of giving praise? Especially where it deserves to be given? Leading Pakistan in tough times is the world’s most unwanted job and that is what is done by Zardari. Even the opposition in Pakistan is not ready to face the music and they are happy with the current arrangements as they don’t have to take the brunt. They are not even joining the cabinet and they are just enjoying the roost in one province. President Zardari raised the slogans of “Pakistan Khapay”, and it did lots of healing, especially in the Sindh and u say that where is Pakistan?? Mr Ammar, remember, when Sindh province was flaming after the assassination of BB. Remember the slogans of people of Sindh. It was Zardari who saved Pakistan by saying Pakistan Khapay not you who went on saying about Pakistan’s breakage very easily. You must not adopt a jaded, suspicious and weary attitude towards our president. President Zardari is from Sindh, so there must be no objection about his dress. Tell me why Zardari can’t be in traditional Sindhi clothes? He is from Sindh my brother!!!!!

Malik Sahab, I respect your opinion in your personal capacity. But let me tell you that when you rise to the leadership of even an organization – no matter what department you have been associated with – you have to act NEUTRAL with everything you do and say.
You do not boast about where you belong from – YOU ARE THE PRESIDENT OF PAKISTAN – You are a Pakistani first and a Sindhi later.
And please, we all know who was behind all the terror that was spread all over Sindh after Mohtarma’s assissination. We all know how he has ruined our country and our image in the foreign media. Flirting with Sarah Palin? Does it suit a President?
What should I praise him for? Accepting that Mumbai attacks were carried out by Pakistani’s even when the INTERPOl found no evidence of Pakistan’s involvement? For snubbing China and trying to damage our relationship with them?
This debate is endless, Sir.

Unluckily I was in Karachi on the eve when Mohtarma was assassinated, we knew that there was a blast and there were no news about her fate. Within fifteen minutes the hooligans Jiyale together with the criminals turned the city into battle ground, kindly think it was pre-planned it can not be done to start devastation of such a magnitude in this short notice, almost all parts of Sindh was in smoke.
Kindly also think who has been benefited most from her assassination, and why her will was not made public and why her close associates who were with her been side lined.
Kindly think and analyze don’t be a blind supporter.
One thing I assure that this country is a gift from god and have survived many odds and it shall come out of the present mess.

Last night i was at seaview with a friend and we were having the same type of discussion. He was inquiring me about the divisions among people and my assessment was simple:
WE HAVE BEEN DIVIDED by “THE POWER” into sectarian and ethnic lines deeeeeeeeeeeep into every piece of our existence and are unable to think about these lines.

In response to Ammar:
Which President of Pakistan has been neutral, can you tell me one, did your Musharraf, Tarar, Zia, Yahya, Ayub, Leghari, think about doing betterment to Sindh Province or Balochistan, except roaming in between Punjab and Islamabad, and breaking of East Pakistan at the hands of Yahya, who was then a President-cum-Chief of Army Staff, would you call it a neutrality of President to massacre millions of Bangalis then; who were then our part.
Why do you blame the leaders, when nation like you are to be blamed. God bestows upon the nation a leader of their kind.
Which acceptance of Asif Zardari are you talking about regarding Mumbai Attacks, are you out of your mind you idiot? Why don’t you idiots do internet research before coming here and spitting out your filth, I watched his interview on CNN with Larry King Live, Larry who is famous for asking blunt questions, tried to ask him answers and no where did he accept any involvement.
Your Musharraf, Zia and Yahya, all forgot Kashmir, he is the one who held talks with Kashmiri brethern after forming the Government.
China phew! Man you look to me one hell of a psycho. China, did you know who formed relations with China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey and Iran, he was Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, your so-called idiots have even no sense of talking about relations, how are they formed, and you one idiot blame Asif Zardari for anything like snubbing China, under whose tenure did Chinese Engineers got kidnapped and killed in Balochistan, it was your Musharraf.
So why did you toy them with you, when did you think Pakistan was on its tracks, that you took a comfortable slumber at home in your cozy bed, why you wake up at the end and bark all this, and what have you been doing after you realized you have been toyed.
Divided you? When you don’t like a traditional wearing of President, why should it be of more concern to you about division of fraternity between all races of Pakistan.
