Captain Bilal Zafar Shaheed
“Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord; They rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah. And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (martyr’s) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve.”
Al-Quran (3: 169-170)
Captain Bilal Zafar, a commando of the Pakistan army SSG (the world’s best elite force), embraced martyrdom on the 17th of May, 2009 – fighting terrorists and militants in the embattled valley of Swat.
He always used to say “Bullets can’t harm me”, and thus it proved true. He was hit on the arm by a bullet but he carried on until he was hit by an RPG (Rocket propelled grenade) where he embraced martyrdom on the spot.
His last message has been circulated widely on print and electronic media. This is what he had to say:
“In the volleys of fire…in the thunder of bombs, there are a few who just do not stop…knowing that they are surrounded by death…knowing that they could leave their wives widows and children orphans…but they just keep on moving because something is pumping in their hearts…and flowing through their veins known as honour, devotion and motivation…death over surrender…that is why they say death before disgrace…Pakistan Army Zindabad”.
We Salute your courage, Sir! This sacrifice of your’s for this nation will never be forgotten. At least not by us: the people of Pakistan. Let this martyrdom also dispel the notion that the army lacks any motivation to defeat these extremist militants, it is obvious that their spirits are very high.
We stand by you! Long Live Pakistan!

Bilal! Son you have taken lead on us; you are the blessed one; you are the chosen one. Definitely you have reached the Heaven, the promised Allah’s prize for any Shaheed. We are proud of you. You have proved equal to the oath taken by every newly commissioned officer at the time of passing out from PMA that you will even lay down your life for the protection of PAKISTAN, our Motherland.
I will only say to your family that, yes the loss is irreparable but what a great source of strength for them that you will be there for their “saffarish” before Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgement.
Fortunately I am amongst those who also received your last message on my cell through other friends and the message has been well taken and spread to all the officers and soldiers known to me.And in the end for my brave Soldiers and dear Countrymen:-

I salute all the Army Jawans fighting the barbaric terrorists, who are beheading people, assasinating religious scholars in the name of Islam. In fact Pak Army is engaged in true Jihad. And Ammar your passion and Love for Pak Ser Zameen is much appreciated man. Pakistan is facing an existential crises from within and outside. I am hopeful that together we Pakistanis will successfully defeat every bid to harm our nation.

May ALLAH accept his sacrifice. How ever we should be very carefull on calling someone a Shaheed. There are guidelines which are layed down in Islam, we should all read about them. Only ALLAH knows who is a Shaheed.
It would have been Awesome if his last words were the Kalima…..
May ALLAH guide all of us on the straight path.Take Care

Malik-now you have taken it upon yourself to let people know that Allah will decide who is Shaheed and who is not! Fair enough. But then what would you call someone who takes up arm or raises a voice against “Zulim” or how about someone who lays ones life while carrying out ones duties?
Despite what your twisted mind thinks or conjuers up, the fact remains that Bilal and so many like him are all Shaheeds. They are safe guarding this nation against people who are hell bent on destroying it. By the way “people” includes morons who sympathize with them as well. HINT HINT.
Lastly-how in the world do you know whether he did recite the Kalima or not? Were you there…..obviously not. Needs guts to be in a place where Bilal was and now is.

Have you ever heared the prophet categorically putting the word Shaheed after any of the companians.

May Allah Subhana Watalla place Bilal in the highest chandelier of Jannah and may Allah, The Forgiving forgive him and of all of us. May Allah make all of us His chosen soldiers.
I am in awe of Bilal’s courage and of every soldier’s who is fighting for Allah. No one can comment on anyone’s niyat. As Hazrat Umar Farooq R.Z. used to say ” I accept your Zahir (outer-self) and I give your Batin (inner-self) in Allah’s care.”
& Brothers! Don’t let all our enemies win in this way–by fighting amongst ourselves. I derive my faith from the prophecy from our Prophet S.A.W that the Muslims of Hindustan (apparently we Pakistanis & Afghanis) shall conquer the Hind. And this army shall march to Hijaz to assist Imam Mehdi R.A. So who is more eligible to this criteria than our brave Muslim soldiers and true Muslim Pakistanis and brave Afghan Mujahideens?I shudder at this prophecy by our Prophet S.A.W. that there shall be only one group among my Ummah who will always be fighting for Haq and they will never fear anyone who are against them. I fear constantly which group I belong to? And even if I am on the right path?
I fear at this prophecy by our Prophet S.A.W. that the first army that will face Imam Mehdi will be the Munafiqeens (so-called Muslims) and Allah Al Mighty will buried them all into the ground before they can even lift a finger against Allah’s army.
May Allah make this only Muslim Army a force to reckon with. Ameen
The time for Muslim Ummah to rise again is very near but at the cost of our cleansing ourselves and our lives. Our brother Bilal and many soldiers like him are just the path leaders.I would like to second the suggestion of Yassir to stand in the late hours of night and seek for Allah’s guidance and His blessing as this will be the only salvation and all other worldly means are meaningless if we are not blessed by Him to make use of them.

Such a brave soldiers are dying for us so that we just enjoy our meals. offices n luxuries. just support our army guys. Wa Alaikum As Salam wr wbr,
No one is debt to anyone. The only dect we have is with ALLAH. That should be out main focus.
Though we would like to call the country Islamic Repuclic of Pakistan the truth is no where close.
Compare the Pakistan Army to the companians and then see what path are we following. Being from an Armed Forces family, I have hardly seen officiers praying and following the path of the guided one.
When we pray we should pray that ALLAH guides all of us including our Armed Forces to the straight path and not the path which had been let stary…
Pleae keeo your focus and dont let emotions take over……
When I see something Islamic about our Army I will be the first one to praise them…InshaALLAH.
