Islam & Pakistan! Technology & Me!
How we support Israel every hour, every day!
We, Muslims, are estimated at around 1.84 billion in number on the face of this planet. Yet, we are undoubtedly the most oppressed and persecuted of people. Not because we are helpless – but because we refuse to help ourselves. We forgot our religion and its values a long long time back – we limited religion to the mosque and to the mullah! We pray 5 times a day, yet we feel no shame in bribing petty officers.
We, the Muslims, are the largest producers of oil in the world. Yet our fuel is what drives the West and its sophisticated weaponry. The jets that have bombed Afghanistan, Iraq and are now bombing Palestine – yes – it is our fuel they use to blast their heavy jet engines. Shameless, as a word, fails to describe our leadership. We are so strong yet so weak that we can not even ‘threaten’ to suspend oil supplies to the world. We shamelessly continue to provide them with our oil so that they may fly their sophisticated fighter jets over our land, so that they may bomb our women and children, our sisters and brothers.
Almost every one of us, and especially those reading this, carry a cell phone manufactured by those who support Israel in our pockets. We bring home packaged food (which may very well be convenient to prepare and eat) manufactured by those who openly support Israel. Some of us, wear clothes and shoes manufactured by companies owned directly by them. And the list of such things goes on. And it does not exclude me either, I am one of such culprits! And perhaps, so are You!
The point I am trying to make here is that while rallies held across the globe will indeed send an impression that Muslims are not asleep and condemn what is being done against them, it will not make a difference and will only fall on deaf ears. Why? Because we, almost every single one of us, continue to support the perpetrators of war crimes against Muslims in several ways, including those mentioned above.
Our rallies today lack objectivity and direction, there seems to be no clarity of vision and no thought. Emotions alone yield nothing! Yes, it may bring a few glimpses of you on national – and international if you’re lucky – television and the press. But think and think with clarity, enlighten your soul, emancipate your existence and go beyond personalities and self service. It is what you do for the betterment of the world that matters. Not you or your name.
You are a servant of God and nothing in your own self. You can not breathe of your own free will. What you do, is of His Mercy and Blessing.
To the World: Stop Israeli Terrorism!

By boycotting their products we are boycotting our needs and necessities. We need to look at the other direction and focus our objectives to boycott their needs and their necessities.
OPEC, stand-up and block oil supplies to Israel for they are the REAL terrorists.

arsalan is right…boycott is not the solution…we boycott their stuff, they will boycott ours…..are our economies strong enough to bear such a shock???ok Muslim countries can opt for exhaustive trading with each other in the long run…but its easier said than done….moreover 10-20 yrs frm now the western world would manage to develop the alternate sources of energy (n the corresponding infrastructure) to such an extent that oil might lose its cruciality….n oil is abt our only bargaining chip

There must be more constructive ways of getting our point across than boycotting their products. Cutting oil supplies is easier said than done. Recently, Saudi Arabia rejected a claim to do just that as they were worried about their deteriorating income. You have to face it, the odds are firmly stacked against us Muslims. Israel has the backing of the US in almost every aspect and the only way we can match up to them in the future is to strengthen our economies and make them less dependent on the Western countries (especially the US).

Its easy to say that boycott their products, but we practically we can’t do that because we are not only dependent on those stuff due to so many factors, but also that might be the place where we, or our countrymen are working to earn a living for their family. Boycotting will force them to shut down their business which will cost us with the lost of jobs in our country, but wouldn’t create much dent on their company. Even if all Islamic countries collectively do it, then the odds are rear that they will succeed in shutting any company down or creating a dent in their economy.
And as far as oil is concerned Ammar, oil is no good until it is sold, and US is the World’s largest market for oil, so thats not a too good option, but yes, its their weakness which Arab leaders should think about.
I think what we CAN do right now is atleast prefer our products on them in any way possible! If not in the sense of revenge then for the sake of our country’s economy.

you know what, we dont support isreal by consuming their products…we support them by fighting amongst us…we support them by doing bad things to our country…we support them by not following our religion…their agenda is to make us weaker n we play into their hands by indulging in all the self-destructing activities…
if u really want to quit ur support to israel, STOP fighting with ur muslim brothers on petty issues concerning sect, race & region….STOP harming ur country..it means no corruption, no tax evasion, no nepotism. no violation of rules…serve ur country to the best of ur ability in whatever capacity u can…n u dont have to be a scientist, doctor, teacher or engineer to do that…
n most importantly, follow the teachings of Islam as its our only refuge, our only hope of salvation…
sounds like a tall order, right? but then nothing is impossible….they want to make US weak?lets foil their plans…they are scared of our nuclear weapons.lets add to their worry by making this fortress of Islam, impenetrable….

@ Pinky
I wish it was that simple. I really wish. A vast majority of us are more interested in where people are going wrong, forgetting what they’re doing right.
@ Hamza
Let me put a counter question to you: How is it an option to prosper yourself when your brothers and sisters are slaughtered using a product you sell? They will certainly not die of hunger. People are actually eating ‘grass’ in Ghaza!

@ Pinky
Oh no, You have that wrong! I am sorry I couldn’t respond on time.

@ Waqar
My dear brother, One: I am not asking on a *website* to stop exporting oil. It is one of my suggestions and I am well aware of the audience of this website. I’ll show you the stats some day =)
Two, I am not against rallies or protests or anything at all. This little piece of text holds nothing personal in it. you know how I initiated this little movement that has inspired many others to bring in their own ideas to it.
I am satisfied as long as the objectives are right and are achieved.
Peace.
