You can party around the world with 240 odd people and then claim to have paid for them out of your own pocket while YOUR people die of hunger right under your nose. Yes, Mr. President! You have proved once again that you and your government are just not ready for governance of a country that means a lot to 160 million people.

How ridiculous could things get? If you have so much for yourself that you can pay for luxury trips for so many people, why can’t you bring your own assets and only KEEP them in Pakistan?

It is not about certain individuals now. It is about an entire nation gripped by sheer frustration and helplessness.

Among other gifts of this new government has been the destruction of Pakistani cricket and the Pakistan cricket board (PCB). It began by placing it under the sports ministry first. Pakistan cricket has been sidelined by the rest of the world because of its internal turmoil. Our team is seriously lacking international match practice.

Hockey and the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) met a similar fate.

A sense of deprivitaion prevails which leads to frustration and there is absolutely no channel through which national pride could be restored. The commoner feels the pain when political leaders go on lavish foreign tours begging for some money having plundered the national exchequer themselves.

I can foresee a storm. It is only a matter of time. The government in place should realize this. It is not good for the duration of their term in office either.

With this much frustration around, the commoner needs only a platform to channelize his/her anguish for the betterment of the country.

Where will we find one?
