The Inter Services Intelligence agency of Pakistan, the ISI, through a notification issued by the cabinet division was put under the direct control of the Ministry of Interior Affairs. This was done on the 26th of July, sometime in the evening. The notification issued also put the IB under the administrative, financial and operational control of the interior ministry. The ISI has worked under the control of the chief executive (Prime Minister) of the country in the past through the Ministry of Defense. More >

The Pakistan People’s Party demanded an International investigation after the assassination of former premier, Benazir Bhutto, when they were not in the government. That demand was not fulfilled.

On the 6th of July, 2000, British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s son was arrested for drinking when he was found drunk and incapable near Leicester Square, London.
When asked about it, Tony Blair remarked:
“Being a prime minister can be a tough job and being a parent is probably tougher!”
It is apparent from the above statement that PM Tony Blair took the blame upon himself for not being a good father and not paying enough attention to his son’s upbringing.

U.S. Attack Nears, U.S. Embassy Closes Peshawar Consulate

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—The embassy of the United States in Pakistan has decided to shut down its consulate in Peshawar between 25 July and October 15, 2008, and advised U.S. nationals in Peshawar to exercise caution.
No reason was give for this move, which coincides with mounting reports in the U.S. media of an impending military attack on Pakistan’s western region. More >
