I shed tears of joy as I hugged a lot of people involved in the set-up of a mega show, DigitalEyez 1! The First ever Media and Design competition of Pakistan, held at FAST-NU Karachi.

Mega events at our campus had never seen such a large participant turnout ever before. Over 270 particpants, over 150 honoured guests and corporate visiotrs, DigitalEyez stunned one and all. Details of what the event was about can be found at http://www.digitaleyez.pk

The director was so pleased that we have been challenged with an Internation event next year, at DigitalEyez 2009. We never knew if DigitalEyez would happen again after this one. But we proved our professionalism and our dedication by organizing episode 1 of this event, with only 30,000 rupees allocated by the university.

Nobody believed in any possibility of success, thus the low amount. We bounced back. We got lots of sponsors in. Raised ourself to a respectable budget and rocked the campus!

And a special thanks to the volunteers, who showed up a night before to make up for the shortage of man power and helped us set up the campus to our liking in the 8 hours of darkness. With dawn, Karachi witnessed the amazing look of DigitalEyez!
