The team that Captured the hearts and minds of many…
Apr 14th
I want to talk about our brilliant team. The Webmasters and the non-webmasters. The event would never have been a success without them. This is my account of experiences with them and what I observed of them.
Rafi Bhai: Faculty incharge of The Webmasters, It would never have been possible without your support. We will never forget using your phone and printer all the time and using your office as a store for our important things. You led us in the most perfect manner! Thank You Sir!
Hina: Cap’ain! you led us pirates well. LoL! Thank you for your trust, confidence and support. We would never have been here if it wasn’t for you! You handled a lot of important tasks that maybe others should have done! Hope you’re ready for Journey 2009 International?!
Azeem: Zeemz! WoW! LoL! Your email and then your screaming in the morning, I decided to take it all up myself instead of relying on the departments which were actually supposed to do specific things. Thank you so much for being there! You’ll be graduating this year, we’ll miss you in 2009! You’ve been a true brother!
Faisal: ChillaX! His very sight spreads a smile on my face. He is to be appreciated for all the participants and guests that showed up! Brilliant leadership and excellent handling of everything! I’m sorry about your laptop and stuff.
Talha: I will never forget that scream I let out when you told me the good news a night before! Thank you for all the ‘khwaari walay kaam’, thank you for doing a lot for the event. Your dedication and commitment cannot be doubted.
Arsalan: PR PR PR! Participant relations! Great work I’d say! Working under Faisal’s guidance, Arsalan was in-charge of the Participant relations department. Thank you for your dedication and support. As a friend, you were always there to buck me up when I was down! Thanks mate! Ali Zaidi and Arsalan made a great pair together!
Ali Siraj/Farheen/Basmah/Saqib/Sidra/Anum and team: Loved your work! The unbelievable two-day stint! I thought you guys would not be able to complete things on time. We’re sorry we could’nt get you the stuff earlier, but your work was awesome! Ali, Saqib and Maisum – Thank you all for the dedication through the night. We would’nt have had anything ready if it wasn’t for you three in the night!
To all the competition heads, Atif, Bina, Assadullah, Saad, Sohaib Qamar, Immi – Good Job! The event was actually about your competitions!
My salute to the development team, Uzair, Osama, the content wala’s, Taha and Farrukh! Great job people!
To those who showed up late, but were definitely instrumental, my special appreciation and gratitude to Awais (baba), Nousherwan, Imti, Farrukh Ali Baig, Ahmed Sameem, Saulat, Waqas, Khurram! Love you all guys! This event wouldnt have been what it became with you presence!
We’re bracing ourselves for 2009! Pray for our success, and be there for us, those who will be here next year! Thank You ALL!
DigitalEyez 1: Stunning Success!
Apr 13th

I shed tears of joy as I hugged a lot of people involved in the set-up of a mega show, DigitalEyez 1! The First ever Media and Design competition of Pakistan, held at FAST-NU Karachi.
Mega events at our campus had never seen such a large participant turnout ever before. Over 270 particpants, over 150 honoured guests and corporate visiotrs, DigitalEyez stunned one and all. Details of what the event was about can be found at http://www.digitaleyez.pk More >
Massive Protest in Karachi, ignored by one and ALL!?
Apr 8th

The picture above shows a massive protest held on the 6th of April, 2008 by the Jamaat-e-Islami in Karachi. Over 25,000 people showed up. The gathering protested against the screening of the dutch film that is against the Holy Quran. Protestors demanded immediate expulsion of the Netherlands ambassador and severing of diplomatic ties with the dutch government.
On the contrary, the new government has kept a mum about the issue. We have not heard a single word from the PPP and its allies.
It is time our government accepted the will of the people and severed its ties with the Dutch and the Denmark governments for repeatedly humiliating our religion.
Video: Arbab Ghulam Rahim Slapped with a SHOE!
Apr 8th
The following video shows the former Chief Minister of Sindh, Arbab Ghulam Rahim being slapped in the face with a shoe, that too inside the Sindh Assembly premises! This just has to be condemned as this is no way of treating anyone by any norms of democracy or even sanity! Is this what we do when we get power? Is this how we handle democracy?
[Part 1] Inqilaab! The Revolution within!
Apr 4th
Inqilaab Inqilaab Inqilaab! Nai aata roz roz inqilaab yaar! Huh? Revolutions don’t happen everyday! You know why? Because people have never understood what a revolution actually is! Reading through a dozen religious books DOES NOT bring about a revolution unless and until you digest and apply what you have learnt! I’ll be sharing my views on a revolution from time to time. This is part 1 of the topic!
A revolution is first brought about inside your own self. Work on your own weaknesses! Test and tweak yourself! Keep testing and tweaking yourself as much as you can, keep polishing yourself. Nobody can ever be perfect, but being better than most is not that difficult! And this is they key, this is the first step! More >

Positive development éh? I guess so! The PPP and the MQM have decided to pardon each other for whatever has happened in the past and start off a new chapter of democracy and the betterment of the people of Pakistan.
Asif Ali Zardari, Co-Chair PPP, visited the nine-zero yesterday with a high profile delegation. The atmosphere was ecstatic and the moods lit up with celebrations and the rousing welcome he was given at the MQM headquarters. More >
