Political Jugglery and Gora Raj!
I really don’t know what’s going on and what the outcome of all this would be. I personally visualize an extremely uncertain political environment. Everything seems to be out of order and in chaos. Its been over a month now and we still don’t have an announcement on who our esteemed ‘Prime Minister’ would be. This article may turn a little aggressive towards the end, but thats the way I am when I write!
Anti-Musharraf forces have captured a thumping two-thirds majority in the National Assembly and they put it on public display with the election of Dr. Fehmida Mirza as the speaker of the National Assembly.
Despite that, even with all the power, a consensus has not been reached upon the name of the Prime Minister.
I understand how difficult it can be to nominate one person when many parties are involved. I’ve been witnessing similar scenes at a much smaller level for the nomination of one person as the President of Proco.net (2008), a mega event held at my university – FAST Karachi.
The personal lust for power prevents one from rising above the ranks and taking up the responsibility. Nasty politics and leg-pulling only helps crumble the strength from inside.
Obviously there’s nobody who would pay heed to my comments here, but our elected representatives in the National Assembly really need to raise their standards a bit, they should rise above personal interests and think of the country’s best interests.
But of course, they would never had contested the elections if they had no personal interests! They do so for personal gains! Not for Pakistan! We all know that.
The country’s affairs are in a total disarray. We have had more suicide attacks in the past year than Afghanistan. We are politically destabilized. We are hit by internal instability and terrorism.
Amidst the chaos and problems that we face, the political jugglery continues. Late night meetings and discussions in Islamabad served with loads of wine & whiskey are totally ‘in’.
Our politicians are a bunch of ridiculous, disloyal and mentally corrupt people who think no more than power, wealth, women and wine! This is their way of life! This is what they are! This is what ‘political jugglery’ is actually about.
It is very hard to change faces in our corridors of power with the claws of certain feudal families dug deep into the local administration of villages and small towns that constitute for the majority of National Assembly seats.
Expecting that these people, most of whom grow up in socially corrupt environments (read modernism), to change and do something for the betterment of Pakistan is being highly optimistic about something that may not happen unless a revolution is brought about my the learned masses of the country.
It is time we shunned these jerk heads! It is time we stood for empowerment of the people! We do not want to empower these people anymore! We want freedom! We want to breathe the way we want to! It has been 60 more years of slavery under these people implanted by the Gora Raj!
Yes it is true. These people were trained to live the Gora way in the early 1900′s, they brought up their families that way! And they rule us in the same manner! Wealth, Women and Wine! Traveling in security covers with police protection, as if to terrify the common man. Do they deserve all this for what they have done to us?
We have to combat our internal differences. The people need to resolve their problems, rise a notch above and bring about a people’s revolution! For freedom and true independence!
May Allah have mercy on our nation and May He give us strength to revolutionize Pakistan!
We want to live the way we WANT TO! THE WAY WE DESERVE TO!
